![]() See these ten boards? All sanded and gessoed and ready for whatever medium I choose to use? Well, these are my boards for the Big 300. The 5th annual Big 100 show has escalated to the Big 300 show! I am pleased to have been invited to participate this year. 300 local artists will each paint up to ten 8"X8" boards that will then all be shown at Settlement Galleries in the 3rd floor of Pioneer Mall downtown Portland...hosted by Peoples Art of Portland, PlacePDX (Gabe Flores)and Mark Woolley Gallery at Pioneer. This fabulous show will take place Saturday December 8th from 2pm till 9pm. All art will be available for $40 per piece, with $10 of that going straight to the Oregon Food Bank! This show is going to be super fun, taking over the top floor of the mall for the night with art, DJs, bars etc. I hope you will save the date and try to make it downtown for this!! Also! The annual Siren Nation Art and Craft Sale takes place Sunday November 11, 11:00 am till 5:00 pm at McMenamin’s Kennedy School. I will be there again this year selling some cool stuff: Dragons, notecards, prints of some of my photos and paintings and some of my clay pendants as well. I will sharing a space with my super talented friends Peggy Pfenninger and Alea Bone. Please try to come out to the sale as there will be many very talented artists there selling beautiful handmade gifts just in time for the holidays! I am also pleased to announce that I have been chosen to hang a painting this year for the Siren Nation art show 2012: Sight Unseen - New Works by Women. The show is at the Albina Press, 5012 SE Hawthorne Blvd during the month of November 2012. Show opens with a kick off party, Thursday, November 8th at the Albina Press on SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, Oregon. I hope you can make it and bring pals. Just for fun:: ![]() This is my paint "sketch" for a very cool project I have been invited to participate in! Ten different artists will be working to transform a 1995 Geo Prizm into a Mardi Gras themed art car, affectionately called the "Mud-Bug". I"ll be painting the hood of the car while other artists have the back, sides, roof and interior. It's going to be super awesome when it's done!
